David Grove is an electroacoustic artist working with digital and analog electronic instruments for performance, installation and recorded outputs. He is primarily involved with the confluences of sound sources and the influences that perpetually multiple and mutate these points in time and space. He considers his work to be analogous to a schematic representation of his personal experience.

He is interested in exploring and utilizing economic means of introducing variation into audio works. By selecting and combining constants and variables from the natural world the works result in aspects of determination and indetermination. This partial withdrawal of human intention attempts to create a distance between himself and the work and build a triangular relationship between the artist, the work and the audience.

Other than sound based works, David has also produced a number of light installations using prefabricated elements and arranged composition of shifting light intensity and colour. Spectral Arrangement 1 is one of these pieces and has been acquired by VIVO (Vancouver) for their collection.

David has shown and performed at numerous venues in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and Vienna.
